This project will target Aboriginal and low income women living in Edmonton and the surrounding area. Our focus will be first on Aboriginal women who are sole mothers who are either unemployed or underemployed and are seeking greater opportunities for economic prosperity through meaningful employment. We will also target Aboriginal women who are already working in the Industry and Trades sector. We will aim to recruit 100 Aboriginal and low income women to be involved in the project, ranging in age and current level of engagement with the economic workforce. We will recruit a diverse group representing First nations and Metis women.
